Individual Psychotherapy
In individual IFS psychotherapy the focus is the relationship between you (your open heart) and your parts.
First, we work with your parts until we have a reliable connection, and we establish trust with your parts.
Once we’ve achieved a consistent, trusting connection between parts and self, we can move to the healing part of the protocol.

The IFS therapist promotes a deliberate, reciprocal conversation between the client and the client’s parts with the express goal of achieving deep understanding of the part’s experience.
We do this in order help repair the attachment between the part and the client’s self.
Once we have achieved a critical amount of part to self-connection, we can move into the healing part of the protocol.
Love as the Healing Agent

We invite the part to share their life experiences, many of which have had a disproportionate influence on our quality of life.
In the healing part of the protocol, we witness the parts story and parts feel understood deeply.
Next we invite parts to release beliefs they hold that constrain our true nature.
Once this stage is complete, a small drop of healing love is released from our open hearts and the part is able to take this love in.
